Student information management system for technical college- Matara

Abstract

Technical College at Matara provides major services to the student in Matara district and other nearest district and handles huge number of student in present. So the institute has to do large number of transaction and information handling such as student details, course category details, course details, course registration details, staff details, payment details etc. There are many Technical Colleges in every district. These institutions are managed by Department of Technical Education & Training which functions under the Ministry of skills Development Vocational and Technical Education. So it has become a patchwork of logic changes and new services that still address office specific requirements. The current system is structurally unable to address changes and new services required to meet current needs. It may be a very time consuming. So this project aims to develop Student information management system to help its management to manage student information within technical college also help management to manage their staff and teachers keep their details for analyzing. In addition to that another aspect to makes reports of their student and maintain history of all students. I think this system makes the daily process of student easier. Improves staff efficiency by saving time and helps management meet college performance targets
