A windows based student information system

Abstract

Student Information systems in Higher Education Institutes needs systematic database management system. Information involved in higher education intuits are about students, Staffs, Courses, Faculties, etc. This project is about to develop the Information system that can be applied in higher education institutes. The objectives are to identify the problems involved in the implementation of the current information system at the higher education institutes, Human Resource Management Department (HRM) and Examination Department to identify the needs of systematic student information system at the higher education institutes and to develop the prototype of the information system that can be implemented at the higher education institutes. A case study has been carried out at HRM and Examination Department for the prototype development. The prototype used Microsoft SQL Server. The prototype not only benefit to the person who incharged with the system, but also benefit to all staffs dealing with the higher education institutes by making it faster, more accurate and easier.
