This study aims to examine how Greek Platonic thought formed the basis of political philosophical ideas that emerged during the Renaissance, which ushered in Europe following the Middle Ages. The problem with the study is how Plato's ideas were incorrectly followed beyond the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. The hypothesis of the study is that Renaissance thought appeared on the basis of Plato's political philosophical thought. Translations of Plato's original texts, research papers based on them, and other texts such as primary, secondary data sources, and descriptive analysis are used. Plato explained the clear foundations of Greek thought. The Renaissance political philosophers who arose on the basis of them and their ideas gained prominence during the Renaissance and formed the basis of the modern age.en_US
